healing the witch wound ritual:

the details

Ritual, in formality, is something that has slowly fallen out of our lives. It’s a word that, like witch, can elicit a range of responses—caution, superstition, excitement, a quickened pulse. But when we look closely, ritual is everywhere: the way we make our morning coffee, brew tea in the quiet of evening, or wash the day from our skin. These small acts carry intention—and intention is the heartbeat of ritual.

While energy work is powerful in itself, I often find it helpful to anchor that energetic release with something tangible. A physical act to mark the shift. This cord-cutting ritual is just that—a symbolic gesture to release old ties and reclaim what has been lost or taken.

Below, you’ll find a list of simple items to gather for this time together. If you don’t have everything, don’t worry. Use what you have. The energy lives in your intention.

What You’ll Need:

Two chime candles: one black (for release) and one white—or a color that best represents you (for reclamation)
(Can’t find chime candles? Even birthday candles will do.)

  • A piece of string or thread

  • A plate or fire-safe surface (candle holders, ceramic dish, etc.)

  • Salt

Optional Herbs (just a few will do) :
For release: black pepper, bay leaf, rosemary, sage, basil, thyme, nettle, pine
For healing & soul sovereignty: mugwort, blue lotus, lavender, chamomile, rose, hawthorn, jasmine, cinnamon, ginger, calendula
